Kuching Bulls
Our Story
2007
A small group of friends with the same passion and vision for basketball began competing under various team names around Kuching. What united them was not only the love for the game, but also the belief that basketball culture in Kuching could grow into something bigger and more modern.
2013
Kuching Bulls officially took form and identity under the leadership of Steven Au, with the mission to elevate basketball standards and modernize basketball culture in Kuching.
2017
Kuching Bulls expanded its youth development journey by starting the U15 Bulls team, creating a pathway for younger players to train, compete, and grow within the club culture.
2018
Kuching Bulls Club was officially registered and formally established as a proper basketball club organization, marking a new chapter beyond just being a competitive basketball team.
2019
The Bulls Basketball Academy for kids was launched with the spirit of “Play, Learn and Grow”, focusing on fundamentals, confidence, discipline, and love for the game. Bulls Swinburne Team was also formed, strengthening the club’s connection with young adult players and the university basketball community.
2024
Kuching Bulls continued to expand by forming the Bulls Veteran Team and Bulls Female Team, building a wider basketball family across different ages and categories.
Since officially forming as a registered club in 2018, Kuching Bulls has continued expanding its role within the basketball community — supporting grassroots development, organizing activities, building youth pathways, and creating opportunities for players of all ages to grow both on and off the court.
Kuching Bulls believes basketball is more than just competition. It is a platform for discipline, teamwork, leadership, friendship, healthy living, and community spirit.
Today, Kuching Bulls continues to grow as a basketball movement proudly representing Kuching and Sarawak with passion, unity, and heart.
